Despite some adverse conditions, AQFH 3 it’s again available to those who love quests and adventures.

Although it has some fierce battle sequences, AQFH 3 it’s not a “kill them all” mod… although it has many puzzles, it’s not a brain squeezing mod…
Most certainly you will ask – “So what it is after all?! “…
It all above AND an excellent story, because I believe that the story is what make the AQFH series so thrilling and enjoyable ( maybe I’m wrong, I’m just a normal guy…).

As Firelady intended and I try to continue along this path, to create a credible story, able to sustain by it self, to create a logic and credible universe where strange and gripping stories could be told… with the support of stunning visuals and music.

Maybe you will ask “Why only for Fallout 3 ?”… because the Fallout 3 universe is more versatile, because is more grim and tragic than New Vegas ( personally I consider FNV more like a cowboy story than a post apocalyptic world… but that’s just me).
Because in Fallout 3 you could use a more dramatic and human approach than FNV… after all it about a world devastated by a nuclear war.

That’s why AQFH series DON’T have support for TTW… period. If someone want to port AQFH series to TTW, fine by me, but don’t ask for support.
And here I want to talk about an aspect of the human nature…

There is a Russian version of the AQFH, a super mod, gathering episodes 1 and 2 and episode 3 demo… have SOMEONE send a courtesy email to announce this?!
Same for TTW… have SOMEONE send a courtesy email to talk about this?!

It’s the same problem that was on ( cross fingers! ) Nexus, a lot of people DEMANDING help but few of those demanders actually endorsing the mods…
Nor Firelady or me have begged for votes ( like so many others)… but is a common sense reason, if you want quality content for free, at least show your appreciation… somehow.

Speaking of which ( see above the cross fingers), they needed 4 (!!!) years to implement a so called endorsing reminder… of course that’s entirely optional… :)… what do you expect?!

After all, they doing big money from other work so why not throwing some dust in fools eyes? For those who knows how to rub two bucks from the Internet, just think about how many traffic they have, how many views and clicks, how many “members” who pay to be member… but that’s not a subject to be talked here… 🙂

Just a quick thought for those who use the brain… WHY you need a DEDICATED mod manager when we already HAD one? And it’s CLEAN and DON’t send all kind of stuff over the Internet…

Anyway… for the near future is scheduled a DLC for AQFH 3, “Codename Icarus” who will make the connection with the final part of this series AQFH 4 – The Iron Dream.
Both are WIP, “Codename Icarus” deadline is situated in December 2014 as for “The Iron Dream” the most optimistic deadline is somewhere in May 2015.
If I’m still alive till then… 🙂

A true story… episode 1

When the Fallout 3 mod “A Quest for Heaven: Secrets from the Past” first came out, the success was a surprise even for Doria aka Firelady.

You will never guess where had Firelady the “fire” to create such a gem on the first try. It’s true, it was the FIRST mod for Fallout 3 made by Firelady.

At some point she had asked a very “well renowned” mod maker for some advice and help regarding some scripting. The answer was: ” You have the GECK, learn by yourself, I don’t have time to waste with newbie’s“.

That was the starting point for one of the most successful series of mods for Fallout 3. That one arrogant answer.

During that period, the mod maker, who easily missplaces his notes, was overthrown by Firelady. Ah, but you don’t spit in someone’s face without consequences …

Time had passed and “A Quest for Heaven 2: Like a Diamond in the Sky” saw the light of public release … and then began a subtle crusade against Firelady. At least, from our point of view it did. Suspicious things began happening.

The Nexus site kept the “File of the Month” position open for 2 MONTHS and A Quest for Heaven 2 was not selected as a winner even though it had met all the requirements and had enough votes for that position at the end of the first month… this had never happened before, and it never happened afterward.

Time had passed again … and suddenly, the same well renowned mod maker began complaining (whined about it actually) that his mods NEVER win the “File of the Month” … you will never guess what happened next! Suddenly, the old mods with missplaced notes and meetings with strange bedfellows began to be VOTED File of the Month! Sure, a small number of votes, but enough to satisfy the ego.

At that point, Doria told me: “It’s time to leave Nexus, they don’t like us, they don’t want us!

I argued with her, for the sake of the fans of AQFH series. Why?, because you could find the “A Quest for Heaven” mod series being downloaded and rated by people from all over the world, from Russia to Japan, from North America to South America, from China to Malaysia. Let’s face it, it was a popular series that people all over the world admired.

She reconsidered pulling the series from Nexus based on my arguments. Finally, Doria (Firelady) was getting the recognition she deserved. AQFH 3  was voted File of the Month at the end of 2013. Too late for Doria… It was endorsed by so many, including the Nexus “micalov staff member “. Is this crazy or what?

Later, it would turn out that my advice to Doria was wrong, and that she was right all along.

But more in the next episode, about those who talk… and talk… and do nothing. They just talk, thinking that they have all the answers and that they are the “masters of advice”.

A story that begins with a Kat and ends in a drama…

A shameful decision

It was a time when visiting Nexus site was almost a daily basis.

It was… since someone from the staff decided that I’m no longer welcome.

And that someone proceeded in the most dictatorial possible way, something like in Kafka ” The Trial”.

Accused and executed without a minimal chance to defend my honor and reputation, like in the old “good” times of regimes like Nazi or Soviets.

I will reproduce here the original message sent to Nexus staff… never answered back.

I let the conclusions to your judgement.

Esteemed staff of Nexus

Regarding my recent ban from Nexus.

I want to clarify some aspects regarding the accusations made by micalov staff member.
I will quote he’s own words from the ban reason:

” Use of ripped assets in a mod and blatanly ignoring staff requests to remove them when you were given ample chance”

In the first PM message from micalov staff member to me, was mentioned the name of  Toxa, regarding an armor model for a character who briefly appear and some weapons models.
When I asked him about what specific mesh models are questionable,he mentioned again the armor model and some weapons looking “suspicious “, but the creatures models beeing ok to be used.
No exact pinpointing, no exact references, just… “looking suspicious”.
In my last PM message to him I was asking AGAIN to point me exactly to the questionable models, agreeing to change the armor and known Toxa weapons models, even I attached a list of the weapons models with the known and credited authors.
I NEVER got a response from micalov staff member… for months!
Who is ignoring who and who make false affirmations without CLEAR evidence??

You could verify this in your PM data base.

” You were asked to remove these assets from toxa1 and a few others some month back via private message and your file was hidden by staff”.

WHEN asked me in a private message micalov staff member to remove resources, beside toxa, “FROM A FEW OTHERS”?
From where show up suddenly those “FEW OTHERS”?
I stated clearly at the end of Credits list that I will gladly add to credits ANYONE who was not known or forgot.
Due to the way how AQFH3 was finished, I don’t had the full list of credits, even this days I have added to the Credits list an author discovered by chance ( added and endorsed ).
But from here to the false claim “toxa AND A FEW OTHERS ” it’s a long way.

Again, all my PM conversations with micalov staff member could be verified in your PM data base.

“Since you just unhide the file and left it intact… “

Maybe micalov staff member did not noticed the massive patch uploaded, who contain ALL the modifications I promised to make.
In ANY court in the civilized world this affirmation is simply… false ( using a civilized word ).

I was open minded and good will,I made the changes and uploaded into the AQFH3 PAtch 01, so the file is not “intact”.

So WHAT is the ban reason?!

( Excuse my English if is strange…)

And now the cherry on the cake…
Since when micalov staff member is entitled to make moral judgments about shame?
On others hard work and passion.
Ignoring people, false acusations and truncated truth, this are the dictatorial arguments of a staff member from Nexus?

Don’t you DARE to bring Firelady’s name as an argument to ME, micalov staff memeber!I was there not you!
WHO gives you the right to patronize people? Internet?
Shame on YOU!
